About Kenai Peninsula Pop Warner

Kenai Peninsula Pop Warner (KPPW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth football and cheer organization serving communities across Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula — including the Soldotna Saints and Homer Raiders programs. We provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment where young athletes grow on and off the field through safety, sportsmanship, academic achievement, and character development.

Safety & Participation Standards

  • We follow the official Pop Warner Little Scholars rulebook and safety protocols.
  • Pre-season: 10 hours of non-contact conditioning + 10 hours in full gear before games.
  • Certified weigh-ins and paperwork checks before each game.
  • Mandatory Play Rule (MPR) to ensure every athlete gets game participation.

Scholastics

KPPW promotes academics alongside athletics. Athletes maintain scholastic eligibility (2.0 GPA guideline or progress monitoring when required), and we recognize academic achievements throughout the season.

Our Mission

The mission of Kenai Peninsula Pop Warner is to build champions on and off the field by teaching teamwork, discipline, leadership, and respect in a safe and positive environment.

  • Increase youth participation in football, flag, and cheer across the Kenai Peninsula.
  • Provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment where all children can learn and grow.
  • Promote academic success alongside athletic achievement.
  • Instill lifelong values of teamwork, dedication, and community pride.

Accessibility Commitment: Through scholarships, community partnerships, and volunteers, we ensure financial barriers never prevent a child from participating — no player left behind.
